Formed in the Polish city of Łódź in 2017, Heima has been steadily building out their own unique space within the Polish alternative music scene. While they are most frequently categorized under indie pop and guitar-driven alt-rock, their sound is heavily laced with shoegaze textures and the cooler, atmospheric undertones of post-punk.

Heima doesn't chase catchy hooks. They focus on crafting immersive atmospheres. Melancholy in their work isn't just an aesthetic choice, it is a tool for processing emotions and navigating reality. Heima avoids preaching or offering simple answers. Their lyrics tend to leave things unresolved, moving between personal experiences and broader observations while giving listeners ample room for personal interpretation. Lyrically, Heima captures a sense of generational anxiety, balancing between deeply intimate confessions and universal struggles. It's an invitation for attentive listening, and fans resonate deeply with the uncompromising honesty that defines their work.

Their discography currently features the debut full-length album, W Domu, alongside a cohesive two-part EP project: Świat z tektury and Koniec Świata. Currently the band is working on a brand-new album that will simultaneously serve as the soundtrack for the globally anticipated Polish indie game Holstin.

Live performances remain the driving force behind Heima's evolution. Having played around 200 shows, Heima has showcased their music across major Polish festivals (such as Męskie Granie, Soundedit, and FAMA), packed music clubs, and intimate living rooms or unconventional spaces. Along the way, they have shared stages as a supporting act for prominent Polish artists including Kwiat Jabłoni, Artur Rojek, happysad, Kult, and Lady Pank - as well as Slovenian Eurovision contestants Joker Out.
